Fantasy Baseball StockWatch: D’backs SP Archie Bradley
Having an annual spot among the Top 25 overall prospects, the 22-year-old has long been a target of fantasy baseball owners both in keeper and yearly leagues. He put up such a good spring that the D’backs decided it was safe to trade Cahill and open up a spot, posting a 1.61 ERA with a 1.16 WHIP and 16 Ks.
His arsenal features a dominating fastball that sits at 93-94 and touches 97 with great life, along with his plus curve and above-average change-up. He has been held back by a number of nagging injuries, but has a legitimate chance to become a frontline starter.
We have him projected for a 4.22 ERA in 145 IP in our updated starting pitcher rankings, but we recognize that a talent like this can perform much higher. It’s unlikely that he’s available in your dynasty league, but he’s worth an immediate pickup in any fantasy baseball league that he’s available for the chance he delivers much more.
