DFS pitchers for May 10
We’re diving into the Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) craze and will be bringing you the two pitchers we’re using in Draft Kings with other possibilities as well.
Chris Young: The tall Royals righty has been so good this year out of the bullpen and in one spot start that he’s worth using despite the tough matchup at Detroit because of the cheap price tag of $4,900. Young has a 1.06 ERA and miniscule 0.53 WHIP on the young season with just four hits allowed in 17 innings, including five no-hit innings against these same Tigers on May 1. He has a 16-5 K-BB, so there’s everything to love about how he’s pitching. Using Young allows room to spend big on the likes of Felix Hernandez, Nelson Cruz and Justin Upton.
Felix Hernandez: Speaking of King Felix, when filling out a lineup for the late games it’s hard to find enough expensive hitters unless you brave the near-freezing temperatures in Denver to use Rockies or Dodgers. So we used Felix at $11,700 against Oakland in Seattle, but we also like his opponent, Jesse Chavez for $6,700.
