DFS pitchers for June 6
We’re diving into the Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) craze and will be bringing you the two pitchers we’re using in Draft Kings with other possibilities as well.
Felix Hernandez: Coming off a rare bad start last time out (7 R in 4.2 IP), King Felix is a great bet to bounce back in a start against the Rays’ weak lineup in Seattle’s pitcher-friendly Safeco Field. Hernandez is 8-2 with a 2.63 and still an early favorite to win the AL Cy Young, so it seems like a bargain at $11,500. Even blowing a ton of money on the top two pitchers (along with David Price at $10,200), we were still able to find room for an outfield of Nelson Cruz, J.D. Martinez and a red-hot Gregory Polanco.
Chase Anderson: The D-backs righty is coming off his worst start of the year (6 R in 5 IP), driving down the price to $5,500 for a pitcher with a 3.26 ERA and 1.19 WHIP on the season facing a mediocre Mets lineup in hitter-friendly Chase Field. The lineup card we used Anderson in was loaded with stars like Paul Goldschmidt, Miguel Cabrera, Andrew McCutchen and Mike Trout.
